藉由一張木椅即可發現設計者的專業與用心在設計研發過程中反覆琢磨。要使一張椅子坐起來舒適，就得了解人體尺寸與座椅間的微妙關係。像是一般成年男性小腿長42.3CM，女性為38.8CM。則取最理想的實用值約40.5。然而人體尺寸也因地理環境和年齡的不同而改變。像是西方人普遍較東方人高大等，因此要能順應人體尺寸的不同而改變，是以人為本的基本設計原則。

此外，人體對家具尺寸的需求也會因不同的使用目的而調整，因此設計師必須設計出符合功能特殊性的家具。例如:人在工作與休息時需要的座椅高度不同，在一般情況下座椅高度為40~42CM，但要使身體能完全放鬆，座椅高度就要降到38CM，也就是人體能放鬆的尺寸，雖然只是幾公分的差距，也要錙銖必較。

最後，一張舒適的椅子，必須符合人體型態。運用各式裁切拼，結合榫卯結構將筆直的木板，形成曲面來符合人體背部弧度，也同時展現出帥斯設計製作團隊的專業技術。

You can find our designer’s sincere care and attention to detail in the design and creation of every piece of furniture. The designer of a comfortable chair needs to take into consideration the subtle relationship between a person’s body and a piece of furniture. For example, the average length of the lower part of an adult male’s leg is 42.3CM, while a woman’s measure only 38.8CM. Therefore, the approximate ideal length for the leg of a chair should be 40.5CM. However, human body size changes for different age groups and in different geographical regions, like the way Western people are generally larger than Asian people. It is for this reason that our furniture must be able to be adjusted to fit the different needs of all body types. That is the basic design principle when creating furniture with people in mind. 

In addition, the dimensions of a piece of furniture must fit with its intended use. Therefore we must design furniture that is not only comfortable but that is also functional. For example, a person at work and a person at rest require two entirely different chairs. Generally, chairs are 40-42CM high. But to allow a person to fully relax, the height of the chair should be reduced to 38CM. Every detail in furniture design must be painstakingly considered.

In the end, a comfortable chair must fit to the human form. Using sophisticated cuts and precise fitting, a tenon and mortise can unite together to form one, continuous piece of wood. This forms a singular surface that conforms to the natural contour of the human body and exemplifies the specialized technology used by our design and manufacturing team.
